The Rutgers Alumni Association is a classic affiliation of alumni of Rutgers University.  It’s foundation and mission includes a broad spectrum of activities for engaging Alumni, helping students of the University (mostly New Brunswick / Piscataway), and celebrating our alma mater in part by supporting her initiatives.

 

No, we don’t solicit donations. In fact, membership is free and we value our members’ time and talents that make Rutgers better through the work of the Rutgers Alumni Association.

Since 2007, there are no fees to be a member of the Rutgers Alumni Association. We are the alumni association of the School of Arts and Sciences, and include alumni of several of the Rutgers-New Brunswick schools, but also welcome all alumni of the university.

Yes! The Rutgers Alumni Association is registered in the State of New Jersey as a 501c.3, as a non-profit corporation. The RAA is a volunteer-run organization with an extremely active board of directors including a president, an executive committee, at-large members, and committee chairs and co-chairs.

No, the Rutgers Alumni Association, like our alma mater, represents a diverse alumni body and is an inherently apolitical organization. Our devotion to Rutgers and support of it’s growth is a fundamental value of the charter that goes back to 1831. The RAA does not include preference of any political position or party.
