The most recent Rutgers Speed Networking on Dec. 3 was a perfect example of how popular - and dynamic - this annual event has become. Nearly 130 students interacted with 60 alumni at the Busch Campus Student Center, getting the inside scoop on a wide variety of jobs, opportunities and career fields. Under the Speed Networking format, each student met face-to-face with an alumnus for three minutes, then moved on to the next, assuring them 20 encounters in the first hour. And for the first time, the audience was peppered with employers who were in a position to actually hire students who caught their interest.
"The buzz in the room was just incredible," reported Gino Gentile, co-chair of the RAA Undergraduate Committee, which plans and runs Rutgers Speed Networking. "Every time we do one of these events, it grows in size and interest."
Helping out with the Dec. 3 event were Undergraduate Committee Co-Chair Barry Druesne, and Janet Jones, senior associate director of Rutgers Career Services.
Keep your eyes peeled for the next Rutgers Speed Networking Event.
